The Present City programme embodies the vision of the past in the future. It does not foresee a territorial development necessarily linked to economic and social dynamics but intervenes on part of the existing to redefine its meaning and thus lay the foundations for a new development.
Present City interprets the prospect of a contemporary future in terms of redefining the existing public space with both architectural and urban design interventions. Consequently, the historical identity of the places is not affected, and their potential is enhanced in a context of figurative enrichment. The hypotheses for the redevelopment of the public space therefore correspond to an idea of thoughtful redesign of the urban scene according to international quality standards.
