LUINI IN NUOVA LUCE

Luini in a new light

Cristiana ACHILLE, Francesco FASSI (docente coordinatore), 3DSurvey Group

The project aim was to develop and test, on a consistent sample of Bernardino Luini’s artworks conserved in Pinacoteca Ambrosiana, a methodology of investigation and documentation that can support both the judgment of authenticity and historical-critical reading, and the definition of the conservation status, to allow enhancement respecting preservation needs. Moreover, the project aimed at identifying the organizational and technological requirements of a preventive and planned conservation system, that should be strongly related with routine management procedures of the artworks and of the museum spaces, including security measures, as well as with the needs of public use and specific enhancement projects.

DABC role

The research group based in DABC developed the photogrammetric survey for the production of very high-resolution orthophotos and created a 3D model for referenced scientific data acquired under the project.
