Measuring Envelope products and systems contributing to next generation of healthy nearly Zero Energy Buildings

The construction sector is constantly changing to meet the targets for an emission-free future in Europe. To meet these environmental standards, the construction industry needs a comprehensive support framework. The MEZeroE project introduces an open innovation ecosystem for the development of solutions focusing on carbon neutrality and healthy indoor environments. MEZeroE focuses on: (i) developing nZEB Enabler Envelope technology solutions; (ii) transferring knowledge; (iii) matching testing needs with existing facilities; (iv) providing monitoring in living labs and (v) standardizing cutting-edge solutions coming from SMEs and larger industries, to foster inclusive change in the building sector, being accessible via a single-entry point to all users.

DABC role

Responsible of the pilot measurement and verification lines: multi-layers dry nEES characterization facing healthy and safety requirement; test-chain for the comprehensive characterisation of building envelope components (thermal, acoustic and air resistance; accessibility in use; structural performances). BIM-based information flow management.
