Urban health: good practices for health impact assessment of urban and environmental regeneration and redevelopment interventions

The project aimed to develop and disseminate to decision-makers good practices, based on Health Impact Assessment models, literature and case studies, to guide urban policies to produce improved healthy ageing, with a focus on equity in urban regeneration programmes for suburbs.

DABC role

• Application of a qualitative-quantitative assessment tool able to provide an effective and flexible support in defining the implications for healthy ageing of new urban interventions and/or regeneration of peripheral city contexts.
• A review and synthesis of the literature on the impact of urban regeneration and redevelopment interventions on healthy ageing and its social distribution.
