HINTERLAND

Hinterland. Architetture ibride per teatri impropri

The project aims to promote the knowledge and the innovative use of some theatrical spaces designed by the architect Guido Canella, placed in the municipalities of Segrate, Peschiera Borromeo, Pieve Emanuele and Cesano Boscone. These spaces represent an opportunity to support and create networking among local theater companies, offering at the same time an opportunity to secondary school students of the same municipalities for exploring a first access to the theater world. The main goal is to relaunch together the essence and functions of Theatre and Architecture, in a time that requires new strategies for healing and socializing, to answer the needs generated by the great Covid crisis.
HINTERLAND originates from the new forms of educational and relational fragility, caused by the social distancing imposed by the pandemic and the consequent emptying of urban spaces, which become natural stages for living a relational dimension.
