ICAR/10 - Architectural engineering

Architect, PhD in Building Engineering, she is currently Full Professor of Building Architecture in the field of technologies, refurbishment and energy retrofit.

She is currently Vice Rector at Politecnico di Milano, responsible for Lecco Campus.

She teaches “Building Renovation Studio” (taught in English, Master of Science Building and Architectural Engineering) and “Adattabilità e Rigenerazione degli Edifici” (taught in Italian, Bachelor Ingegneria e delle Costruzioni), at Politecnico di Milano.

She is head of RE3_Lab, Building Refurbishment and Energy Efficiency Laboratory, at Lecco Campus.

She carries out research activities mainly in the field of regeneration of existing buildings, such as Social Housing and Industrial Heritage. Particular topics are adaptive reuse of abandoned blocks, energy retrofit and passive design strategies applied to building envelope renovation.

She takes part in some national and European strategic research projects.

She is author of many national and international papers and books.
