He is currently an Associate Professor and a teacher of Project Management (brief – design – procurement – construction – maintenance). He focusses his work on the beginning part of the building process and on the collaborative procurement. He has been researching and also having convention on the Digital Transition of the Construction Sector since 2013. He is the scientific coordinator of researching project on the implementation of Building Information Modeling (BIM) for the public administrations. He works in this field on the optimization of the investments on building recovery and on energy efficiency. He is also a researcher on the application of the criterion of the Most Economically Advantageous Tender (MEAT) in the public invitation to tender. He is the scientific coordinator and part of the work team for the researches “Drafting of Proprietary BIM RAI Guidelines for using BIM and Modeling of Bologna regional headquarter” – RAI SPA.

He is the director of specialization courses on “the modeling with IMM (Information Modeling Management)”.

He is member of the scientific committee of international congress EUBIM.

He is scientific director of some conference about the theme of the Digitalization in the Building Sector.
