The project aimed to define a model for the development and management of “smart” temporary residences through the functional, construction, energy and seismic upgrading of existing buildings with innovative construction and digital technologies, applying a vision of circular economy to the building, furniture and services sector. The ESTH ITALIA model has foreseen an operational protocol that has as strategic and consequential points: identification of the property; technical-economic due diligence for the functional redesign of the building; development of the project with the help of BIM; renovation of the building and functional adaptation of the internal layout to the new requirements; application of a centralised management model for the building (property and facility management) and users (personal services) through the use of IOT (Internet Of Things); identification and introduction of value-added services for users.
