cHOMgenius_Prototype System & Shared Project – Extraordinary solutions for smart living

Circular economy, environmental sustainability, energy management, and innovation in the construction sector with a view to total disassembly/reuse/recycle: these are the key areas of the project. cHOMgenius is a prototype residential building constructed in Busnago (MB), the headquarters of BFC Sistemi s.r.l., which can be completely dismantled, is seismically controlled and off-grid thanks to coordinated energy systems that include a heat pump, micro-generator, solar panels, electric cells, inertial storage, and very low voltage electrical systems (48 and 24V DC). The plant core is an integrated energy module, with AI control, predictive algorithm and open to IOT. The project has developed an off-site construction system, with type-morphological flexibility, centred on the reuse of disused modular elements (HC shipping containers) with a structural function, using industrialised multifunctional components and products with environmental certification, dry-assembled using clamping techniques. The system has developed an innovative seismic protection device.
