The research themes developed by Lorenzi are focused on one hand on the relationship between ancient and new in architecture, focusing on urban issues and single buildings, on the other hand on the work of some Modern architects, set in the horizon of the critical revision of Modern architecture, and interpreted from the point of view of the continuity of forms and of the grounding in contexts.
