Boeri Elisa

Trained at Politecnico di Milano, she obtained in 2016 a joint PhD in Art History and Architectural History between Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and IUAV University of Venice, with a dissertation on Jean-Jacques Lequeu and the Architecture Civile drawings held at the Bibliothèque nationale de France. Her research is situated within the cultural history of European architecture between the eighteenth and twentieth centuries, with particular attention to exchanges and cultural transfers between Italy, France, and Europe, and to the study of utopias, models, and representations.

Ricerca

Elisa Boeri has developed a sustained research line on institutional and utopian architectures, focusing on the spatial logics of total institutions as programmes that negotiate exclusion, retreat from public life, and the governance of difference in Europe between the eighteenth and twentieth centuries.
Grounded in archival research and critical theory, her work investigates how architectural form and modes of representation respond to changing cultural and political frameworks of isolation and protection, from Enlightenment debates to modern institutional reforms.

Servizio alla comunità

In termini di leadership e servizio istituzionale, sono membro del Consiglio di Dottorato DABC dal 2021 e responsabile del programma di formazione dottorale DABC dal 2022. Dal 2023 sono membro del Consiglio di Ricerca della Cattedra UNESCO (Campus di Mantova, Politecnico di Milano) su Conservazione e Pianificazione Architettonica nelle Città Patrimonio Mondiale e delegata dipartimentale DABC per le Biblioteche.

Sono stata Coordinatrice Editoriale presso il Campus di Mantova (2023–2025), sono membro del Consiglio Organizzativo del MantovArchitettura Festival (dal 2023) e sono stata delegata dipartimentale ABC per gli Eventi Culturali (2022–2025, con il Prof. R. Dulio).
