Previtali Mattia

Associate Professor

Mattia Previtali is a full-time Associate Professor at Politecnico di Milano, Department of Architecture, Built Environment and Construction Engineering (ABC), in the Scientific Disciplinary Sector CEAR-04/A – Geomatics. He received an M.Sc. in Civil Engineering and a Ph.D. in Geomatics. His research focuses on photogrammetry and remote sensing, terrestrial and UAV LiDAR data acquisition and processing, 3D reconstruction and modelling, HBIM/BIM generation from point clouds, and the integration and harmonisation of geospatial data, with particular emphasis on the development of GIS/Web-GIS services and geoportals. He participates in and leads research activities within national and international projects, with applications to surveying and monitoring the built environment and cultural heritage.
