LSPA

The Architectural Design Support Laboratory is primarily a service structure, addressing the needs for IT and tooling support for architectural design activities, research and for all related scientific fields. Its experience and knowledge are aimed at the design and drawing of architecture (both on an urban and territorial scale and in terms of buildings), at surveying and representation, and at graphic communication for publishing, web, exhibitions and displays. displays. It is aimed at scientific, didactic and design studies carried out by teachers, researchers and undergraduates of the Department in the fields of architectural and urban composition and design, construction aspects, history of architecture, restoration, urban planning, drawing, surveying and representation of architecture. LSPA has the necessary equipment and expertise to cover all stages of original acquisition, two-dimensional drawing, graphics and layout, database correlation and large format printing.

Services

Below are the services offered by the LSPA Unit to students, teachers, researchers and businesses.

Support and training on digital representation

Support services, upon request or in a coordinated form, for the use of workstations equipped with specialist software in the research areas of the Department.
Activation of ongoing training courses in digital representation, carried out in a dedicated equipped classroom, as well as institutional teachings within the Faculty teaching offer.

Image capture and processing

High resolution digital acquisition service for originals of different formats and media. Upon request, images can be subjected to correction and photo editing to improve their quality and use in technical or scientific fields.

Multimedia editing and digital design

Graphic design, layout and printing services for educational and monographic exhibitions, editorial publications, magazines, catalogues, posters and invitations.
The offer also includes video post-production activities, 3 D animations, website development and the creation of interactive content such as CD-ROMs.

Two- and three-dimensional representation

Support for the drafting of projects at all scales, with digital representations of architecture through three-dimensional modeling and realistic simulation using specialist software.
