Landsberger Martina Elena

Associate Professor

Martina Landsberger (1963) is an associate professor in Architectural and Urban Design; she was a member of the teaching board of the DABC PhD program. She graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at Politecnico di Milano in 1989 and obtained her PhD in Architectural Composition at IUAV in Venice. She has lectured at Italian and foreign universities and participated in various research projects.She edited the Quaderni di Critica series, Unicopli, Milan; she collaborated with the Order of Architects PPC of Milan and was part of the editorial board of the magazine “AL” and was a member of the Cultural Council of the Casa della Cultura in Milan. She has taught at the School of Civil Architecture at the Politecnico di Milano and currently teaches courses at the AUIC School. She is a member of the editorial board of the magazine DaR, a reviewer for the magazines Aion and FAMagazine, and a member of the Scientific Committee of the magazine Stoà and the Titlos series published by Thymos Books.

Career

1989 - Degree in Architecture, Faculty of Architecture, Politecnico di Milano.

2001 - PhD in Architectural Composition, Iuav, Venezia.

Research

The areas of research concern architectural composition and refer to typological issues, the relationship between construction and form, and topic of representation of character and theatricality of space. This last theme is addressed and developed in collaboration with the Piccolo Teatro di Milano - Teatro d'Europa.
