Circular cOnstruction MatErials from Upcycled Plastic waste (COMEUP): technical, economic, and environmental assessment

COMEUP addresses the issue of non-recyclable plastic waste (NPW) reuse through the development of innovative concretes for thebuilding sector. These materials will give rise to a new generation of structural components incorporating waste, able to combineperformance with environmental benefits, thus minimizing the disposal of NPW while reducing natural resources consumption. Giventhe large amount of cementitious materials produced worldwide, the social, environmental and economic impacts of this strategyare of considerable importance.
