
Dulio Roberto
Associate Professor
Roberto Dulio (1971) is an associate professor of architectural history at the Politecnico di Milano - DABC. He has curated exhibitions and published books and essays; he was editor of the magazine L'architettura cronache e storia and contributes to other architecture publications, including Casabella and Domus, as well as the Sunday supplement of Il Sole 24 Ore.
Career
Roberto Dulio graduated in architecture in 1998 from the Faculty of Architecture of the Politecnico di Milano, with a historical thesis on the Milanese architect Elio Frisia (1906-1989), which marked the beginning of his research work on Italian architecture between the two world wars and in the post-war period. In 2000, he was awarded a three-year doctoral scholarship by the Faculty of Architecture of the Polytechnic University of Turin, where in 2003 he obtained his PhD in History of Architecture and Urban Planning with a thesis on Bruno Zevi (1918-2000). His work on Zevi focuses in particular on the formative period spent in Italy, England, and the United States. In April 2004, he obtained a two-year research grant from the Faculty of Architecture of the Polytechnic University of Milan, funded by the Piero Portaluppi Foundation in Milan. Since September 2005, he has been an adjunct professor of History of Architecture at the Faculty of Architecture and Society of the Polytechnic University of Milan. In December 2008, he became a researcher in the history of architecture at the Faculty of Architecture and Society of the Politecnico di Milano, a position he was confirmed in in 2011. Since 2014, he has been a member of the teaching staff of the Doctorate in Architecture, History, and Design at the Politecnico di Torino. Since April 2019, he has been an associate professor of the history of architecture at the Politecnico di Milano.
Research
Roberto Dulio focuses on modern and contemporary architectural culture (19th-21st centuries) and its relationship with art and photography. In particular, his research concentrates on the years between the two world wars and the post-war period in Italy.

Roberto Dulio is the Rector's Delegate for the Archival, Library, and Museum System at the Politecnico di Milano.
