Fiori Matteo Paolo Giovanni

Since March 2016, he has been a civil engineer and associate professor [SSD CEAR 08A] at the ABC Department of Politecnico di Milano. Currently, he is responsible for the following courses for the degree programs in civil and construction engineering and building engineering for sustainability:

• Technical architecture laboratory;
• Building pathology and diagnostics.

He is the coordinator of the working group “GL 14. Continuous roofs and waterproofing” and the working group “GL 33. Liquid applied membranes” of the UNI/CT033 Products, processes and systems for the building body commission. Since 1994, he has participated in national and international conferences and seminars on technical architecture, with particular attention to continuous roofs, green roofs, and building pathology.

Career

Degree in Civil Engineering.

PhD in Occupational Engineering.

Research

In recent years, his research activity has focused on three major themes:

• building envelope, particularly on green roofs;
• building pathology, which studies damage and defects in constructions, where he carried out research activities in the field of continuous roofing;
• review and control of the project.

He is president of the Building Systems commission of the Order of Engineers of the Province of Monza and Brianza.
