
Ferro Luisa
Associate Professor
Architect. Associate Professor in Architectural and Urban Composition (SSD CEAR-09/A), Architectural and Urban Composition at the Polytechnic University of Milan.
Since 2008, he has taught the traveling Master's program in Museography, Architecture and Archaeology, Athens, Accademia Adrianea Architettura Archeologia. Since 2017, he has been a member of the Teaching Board for the DRACO PhD program, Architecture and Construction, Rome La Sapienza. Since 2022, he has been a member of the Teaching Board for the PASAB National PhD program, Architecture and Archaeology, University of Bari.
Since 2000, he has taught Architectural and Urban Composition at the Polytechnic University of Milan in the undergraduate and graduate laboratories, overseeing numerous theses.
2002-2005, Visiting Professor, National Technical University of Athens (EMP), Urban Design course taught by Prof. Dimitris Filippidis.
In 2025 he obtained the ACREDITACIÓN DE LA EXPERIENCIA INVESTIGADORA for the University of Valladolid (Spain) and the Doctoral School of Valladolid.
Career
In 1989, she graduated in Architecture from the Polytechnic University of Milan.
Since 1990, she has been a member of the Order of Architects, Planners, Landscape Architects, and Conservationists of Milan. PhD in Architectural Design from the University of Palermo (associated institutions: Polytechnic University of Bari, University of Naples "Federico II," University of Reggio Calabria).
1997-2002 Visiting Researcher at the Benaki Museum for the Faculty of Architecture of Palermo.
2002-2004 Research Grant/Fellowship for Foreign Researchers, Alexander S. Onassis Public Benefit Foundation, Athens-New York.

Research
Since 2001, he has conducted research primarily in the fields of Theories and Poetics of Modern Architects and the Relationship between Architecture and Archaeology – Architectural Design in Ancient Contexts. Specifically, he focuses on the case studies of Athens, Alexandria, Alexandria in Afghanistan (Aria/Herat and Kabul), Hadrian's Villa in Tivoli, Milan (Projects for the Archaeological Walk with Prof. A. Torricelli), Mantua, Campi Flegrei (Naples), and the Archaeological Park of Pompeii, with which he has ongoing scientific collaboration agreements (scientific coordination of the Framework Agreement and Implementation Contracts between the Polytechnic University of Milan and the Superintendency of Pompeii) and with the Municipality of Pompeii (coordination of the Scientific Consultancy Contract).

From 2013 to 2023, she was a member of the board of directors of Italia Nostra Onlus, responsible for the Culture and Heritage Commission.
