Fava Giulia
Associate Professor
Associate Professor of Structural Engineering. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and a PhD in Structural, Seismic, and Geotechnical Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Milan. He earned a Master's degree in Engineering from the University of Tokyo. His research has primarily focused on the study of the static and fatigue behavior of structural elements in steel, concrete, or masonry strengthened using fiber-reinforced materials, the evaluation of the mechanical properties of fiber-reinforced polymer or cementitious matrix composites, and the analysis of different types of structural systems strengthened, connected, or composed of composite materials. He participates in research programs funded through competitive national and international calls for proposals. He teaches at the Polytechnic University of Milan, in the undergraduate degree programs in Architecture and Building Engineering – Architecture, with courses related to statics and structural design.
