Solero Elena

Elena Solero, architect and PhD, is a researcher at the Department of Architecture, Built Environment and Construction Engineering (ABC) at Politecnico di Milano. She carries out teaching and research activities in the fields of urban design and planning, with expertise in planning techniques, territorial governance tools, and the representation and visualization of cities and territories. Her research focuses on urban and territorial regeneration processes across different scales, investigated through their social, economic, environmental, and spatial dimensions, with a specific emphasis on adaptive reuse of the built heritage as a strategic lever for the reactivation of fragile contexts. Her work primarily addresses marginal areas and mountain regions of the Italian and European Alpine arc, promoting practices of active listening and community engagement in the co-construction of shared visions and sustainable future scenarios.
