Adami Andrea

Andrea Adami graduated in architecture at the IUAV University of Venice with a thesis on the urban regeneration of an uninhabited town center and completed his PhD in Geodesy and Geomatics at the Politecnico di Milano with research on historical globes.He first collaborated with the Photogrammetry Laboratory at the IUAV University of Venice and later with the Virtual Heritage Lab of the CNR ITABC (Institute for Technologies Applied to Cultural Heritage).Thanks to a project funded by MIUR, he joined the Politecnico di Milano, where he works and teaches on architectural and territorial surveying through geomatics, with a particular focus on cultural heritage. He explored the issues of accessibility in historic centers, starting from geomatics data, through a PRIN. He studied the context of BIM for existing heritage and was active in training, including extracurricular training, in this field.He authored national and international publications on architectural surveying, historical cartography, HBIM, and AI applications to geomatics data.
