WORLD RURAL LANDSCAPES – For a worldwide recommendation on the agricultural landscape

The World Rural Landscapes initiative aimed to promote worldwide cooperation in the protection, understanding and management of rural landscapes through the creation of a network for the exchange of experiences and knowledge between actors and institutions and the elaboration of a “World Recommendation on Rural Landscapes”, a guideline document for the protection and management of rural landscapes. In the framework of the Initiative, Fondazione Cariplo and Fondazione Politecnico have supported specific territorial actions aimed at supporting scientific work, events for the exchange of knowledge, the meeting between actors, the dissemination of contents and the valorisation of results, to strengthen the role of the city of Milan as a rural metropolis. The project results include multimedia tools for the knowledge of the agricultural landscape and for the dissemination of good practices.
