TECHnological Transformation Of the Built Environment. Understanding Digital Innovations

Tech-TO.BE builds an inclusive European community to accelerate the digital transformation of the Architecture, Engineering, Construction and Operation (AECO) value chain. The Action addresses fragmented knowledge, limited uptake of digital solutions, and the territorial and social inequalities that still hinder innovation in the built environment.

The project will develop a pan-European map of digital applications, a shared taxonomy, and an openly accessible database of solutions, networks, and relevant actors. It will also collect use cases to document the environmental, economic, and social effects of digital technologies, identifying opportunities, barriers, and conditions for replication.

By fostering dialogue among research, industry, policymakers, and civil society, Tech-TO.BE will produce transferable recommendations and strategies for a more equitable, sustainable, and human-centred diffusion of digital innovation across Europe’s built environment. The Action also promotes the participation of young researchers, women, and countries with lower levels of digitalisation.
