TAARP: Participatory Learning on Dismantling, Reassembly, Modular and Cyclical Design Principles
Wednesday, May 27, 2026
TAARP (Tempor-Active Architecture & Reversibility Principles) is a participatory course on temporary, lightweight architecture and modular design, focusing on how structures can be assembled, dismantled, and reused.
Using the TemporActive pavilion as a case study, students analyze its components, study deconstruction and reassembly methods, and redesign it for future reuse following Design for Disassembly principles.
The course combines sustainability, structural analysis, parametric design, and hands-on workshops to explore architectural systems made from lightweight materials such as textiles, membranes, and composite elements.
