Science for Prevention in Civil Protection
Meeting as part of the Civil Protection Week
As part of the Civil Protection Week, which will take place from October 5 to 13, the Department of Civil Protection has organized the event “Science for Prevention in Civil Protection” on October 9, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. This event is specifically dedicated to raising awareness among citizens and students about the numerous and diverse activities carried out by the scientific community for civil protection purposes. The Department has asked the Universities to take charge of organizing the session following the institutional greetings from the Minister of University and Research, Anna Maria Bernini, and the Head of the Department of Civil Protection, Fabio Ciciliano (via video link).
The ABC Department, together with the DICA, has organized an initial speech by the Vice-Rector for Research, Prof. Guadagnini, and two lectures:
- Estimating Seismic Hazard and Risk for Civil Protection: the Example of the Campi Flegrei, Prof. Paolucci
- Estimating Hydrogeological Hazard and Risk for Civil Protection: the Case of Senigallia, Prof. Ballio
