Planning: Design, and Financing for Hospital and Social-Healthcare Infrastructure

Sixty percent of Italian hospital infrastructure is over 70 years old. The renovation of public healthcare buildings is a strategic priority that requires technical expertise, planning skills, and adequate financial tools.

To address this challenge, the ABC Department and the Design & Health Lab at the Politecnico di Milano are promoting a national forum aimed at technical officials from hospital companies, public decision-makers, regional managers, and private operators in the sector. The initiative offers a space for discussion dedicated to models, strategies, and tools for the future of the healthcare system.

Among the topics at the center of the meeting:

• Tools and processes for public planning
• National and regional funds for healthcare construction
• New models of public-private cooperation

Experiences and prospects for financing hospital infrastructure

The Forum will be attended by representatives of the Council of State, DIPE, Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, the Lombardy Region, and the General Management of Hospital Trusts.

The seminar is accredited by the Order of Architects and the Bar Association.
