On Complexity, Architecture and the Built Environment
Towards a Complexity-centred Approach to Design Research and Practice
This seminar explores the relationship between complexity, architecture and the built environment, proposing a complexity-centred approach to design research and practice. Through interdisciplinary perspectives and critical discussion, the initiative aims to reflect on how contemporary design disciplines can engage with the dynamic, interconnected and adaptive nature of urban, environmental and social systems.
The seminar will bring together researchers, practitioners and students to investigate new methodologies, theoretical frameworks and operational tools for addressing the challenges of contemporary cities and territories.
Organised by Emanuela Margione, the initiative is developed with the scientific contribution of the DABC Activities for the promotion of research and Third Mission engagement.
The event will take place both in presence and online.
