Architettura Politecnica
Storie di architettura e architetti dal Politecnico di Milano

Architettura Politecnica. Stories of architecture and architects from the Politecnico di Milano proposes a dialogue between architects, teachers and scholars on the central role that the Politecnico di Milano has played and continues to play in the training of generations of architects and on the cultural imprint that this training conveys. Through the stories of key figures, works and teaching experiences, the meeting reflects on the evolution of architecture teaching at the Politecnico, highlighting design as a fundamental tool for knowledge, research and the construction of knowledge.
The aim is to reflect on the distinctive features of polytechnic education, which integrates theory and practice, critical analysis and constructive experimentation. In this context, the city of Milan is considered a privileged setting for testing and applying an approach that interprets and transforms reality through design.
The talk offers insights into reinterpreting architecture and design as expressions of an educational tradition in which “designing” is a method capable of having a strong impact on design culture and the relationship with civil society.
