The initiative aimed to promote the experimental activities of doctoral students, post-docs and researchers of the TAN - Textile Architecture Network laboratory unit at the Polytechnic of Milan, ABC Department, together with design and engineering companies, SMEs and research institutes of the international Tensinet network. The event, consisting of engaging citizen research workshops and dissemination semiaras, aimed to improve the state of the art and present the latest advances in the field of membrane architecture. The consolidation of public commitment through the initiative has strengthened both academic visibility and the increase in research activities, thanks to the activation of collaborative networks. The proposed research topics were innovative compared to the state of the art of membrane architecture and light constructions. The activities were organized in multidisciplinary sessions: Design optimization and structural efficiency, Sustainability (Re-up), Clean energy, Water management.
