HOMeBIM liveAPP: Development of a multi-user 4D living virtual reality Live APP for improving comfort-efficiency-costs, from a cloud platform that controls the BIM-sensors flow over time – ID 379270.
The project “HOMeBIM liveAPP: Development of a multi-user Live APP of 4D living virtual reality for the improvement of comfort-efficiency-costs, from a cloud platform that controls the BIMsensors flow over time” was carried out thanks to the partnership between GFM-NET SRL (leader), LSI LASTEM SRL, MAINLAB SRL and Polytechnic of Milan (ABC Department). The Project developed the research, development, product innovation chain in the energy efficiency sector of existing and newly built building stock by creating an integrated system of advanced IT solutions (low-cost sensors, cloud-based BIM and APP technology (in a simple low-cost tool aimed at helping the inhabitants of a building to control the comfort level of their housing units. Results: Creation of a cloud-based architecture capable of managing the flow of data coming from sensors and BIM models and hosting the engines with data management and transformation logic (for example algorithms for calculating comfort KPIs – EN 15251, ISO 7730).
Creation of a LiveAPP capable of allowing the interrogation of the BIM model and the construction of customized graphs based on the specific interests of the various users. Design and prototype construction of a compact sensor “Sphensor” capable of measuring hygrothermal parameters (temperature and relative humidity), environmental parameters (atmospheric pressure, lighting, UV-A radiation, air quality in terms of VOCs, CO2 and PM concentration (1, 2.5., 4, 10) and to improve it. Development of a specific add-in capable of making the Revit software more usable for the creation/management of a BIM, in order to allow a simplification of the macro-procedures necessary for this area, with a view to creating a generative process of the model BIM as intuitive as possible. Positive impulse to the construction and energy sector and the supply chain connected to it.
