The conference explored the transition from traditional on-site construction processes to off-site construction approaches, highlighting the role of prefabrication in reducing construction time, improving building quality, and optimizing resource efficiency. Through the cHOMgenius case study, the lecture presented design approaches based on modularity, adaptability, and design for disassembly, demonstrating how these strategies can contribute to the development of more flexible and sustainable buildings throughout their entire life cycle.
