Egyptian Museum of Turin

The university has taken part in numerous campaigns for the surveying and digitization of cultural heritage, in collaboration with prestigious institutions, including the Egyptian Museum of Turin.

Among the main projects are:

  • the digitization of the Theban Tombs in Egypt;
  • support for the Italian-Dutch mission in Saqqara;
  • the digital modeling of the Roman settlement at Umm al-Dabadib;
  • the digitization of historical artifacts at the Egyptian Museum of Turin;
  • the FACES REVEALED project (Horizon 2020), which, in collaboration with UCLA, used advanced technologies to reveal the faces and stories of Egyptian mummies;
  • the SUR.Vi.VE project (Seal of Excellence), which developed advanced methodologies for conservation in critical contexts.
