BIMReL
BIMReL is a research project carried out with the support of Regione Lombardia and funded by “Smart Living: Integration of manufacturing services and technology in the construction-wood-furniture-home supply chain” (ID 379285).
The aim is to create a digital system for the management of information throughout the life cycle of a building, by means of:
- the creation of an interoperable, open-source database of construction products and components based on the technical specifications associated with BIM objects, in accordance with the most recent developments of Italian and international regulations;
- the development of a cloud platform that can be used by different users (public and private clients, designers, manufacturing companies, construction companies) in order to access all information available in the database;
- the involvement of Lombardian and national manufacturing companies to increase the international visibility of the products and detailed specifications capable of promoting the quality of the products.
