Dr. Lohrmann is currently a visiting researcher within the IDEA League-funded project “A Global Outlook of Renewable Energy Landscape Integration: Assessing International Challenges and Interdisciplinary Design and Planning Solutions”, coordinated by Assistant Professor Romanos Ioannidis. The project is a collaboration between Politecnico di Milano, ETH Zürich, RWTH Aachen University, and Forschungszentrum Jülich.
Her research focuses on sustainability transitions and the environmental implications of decarbonization, with expertise in energy systems, the water–energy nexus, machine learning, and spatial analysis. Her work combines sustainability assessment with data-driven approaches to support evidence-based decision-making.
During the event, Dr. Lohrmann will introduce the objectives of the visiting project and provide an overview of her broader research on water–energy systems, sustainability transitions, and the social acceptance of sustainable technologies.
