The aim of the project was to test an evolved system for the coordinated and smart integration of the various aspects related to Smart Grids, innovative energy generation from renewable and non-renewable sources, energy efficiency of building envelope and facilities and integration of advanced communication technology, to provide citizens with services that increase participation and quality of life in the city. The project core action was the integration of the electricity grid by innovative systems for communication, control and management, and sensing/automation/protection systems, to ensure the development of technologies to produce electricity and heat and of advanced accumulation technologies.

DABC role

Development of an energy self-sufficient urban prototype to be used on university campuses to provide additional study spaces with charging stations for laptops and mobile phones.
Collaboration on the development of an app for collecting data on the perception of comfort of office and classroom users (professors and students) to be interfaced with real data collected by a network of sensors installed in the same spaces.
