Dakar Regeneration Verte

The project aims to contribute to the sustainable urban development of the Dakar region in the context of climate transition by improving the functioning of urban utility services and civic participation related to waste management. The main groups of actors involved are officers of the Dakar Municipality and local services working in waste management, users of waste management services and public markets, green micro-enterprises, social workers and citizens directly involved in the different actions. The objectives will be achieved by strengthening the competencies of the Dakar Municipality on the management of services and urban regeneration, improving the efficiency and differentiation of waste collection in a city district identified as an area for the implementation of a pilot project, and strengthening the activation of civil society, the business world, and the diaspora on environmental issues in the urban context.
