Isabella Carla Rachele Balestreri

Isabella Balestreri since 2005 has been Assistant Professor in History of Architecture. She achieved the Bachelor Degree in Architecture at Politecnico di Milano in 1988 and PhD in History of Architecture and Urban History in 1993. In 1996-1998 she worked as Temporary Research Assistant. Since 1998 she has been teaching History of Architecture. She is member of the faculty of Doctorate Professors “Architettura. Storia e Progetto” at Politecnico of Turin.

Since 1988 she has been studying the History of the city of Milan and its land, analyzing the relevant changes, the evolution of the building, plan and architectural projects in the 15th-19th Centuries. The results of her research have been presented in national and international congresses. She has also participated in national and international research projects, including: PRIN 2005, “La biblioteca dell’architetto.
