Gianandrea Ciaramella


ICAR/12 - Architectural technology

Andrea Ciaramella is associate professor at the Politecnico di Milano, Department (Architecture, Built environment and Construction Engineering A.B.C.), with which he has collaborated since 1995.
He does teaching, research and consulting work, specializing in the area of technological innovation and in the relationship between the construction process, real estate development and management.
He’s one of the partner of “BraVe management & technology”, a university spin off devoted to buildings performance’s assessment. 

Courses at Politecnico di Milano:
– Course “Building components and building design – Building Technology Studio”, a course within the bachelor course of Architecture;
– “Facility management Studio Lab”, within the Msc Management of the built environment.
– Course “Construction and real estate management innovation”, Phd Course, Department of architecture, Built environment and Construction engineering.

He also teaches and coordinates diverse third-tier educational initiatives (Specialising Masters, Post-Graduate Courses and Permanent Education Courses).
– Since the beginning of the program (1997), he has been a professor of the First-Level Master’s Degree course “Real Estate Management” at ABC Department, Politecnico di Milano, which he has coordinated for several program periods.
– Since 2004 he has been the co-director of the Course “Executive course in real estate” at MIP School of Management, Politecnico di Milano.
– Since 2005 he has been a member of the Centre of Competence in Construction Management at MIP School of Management, Politecnico di Milano.
– Since 2014 he’s Vice-Head of Phd Course, Department of architecture, Built environment and Construction engineering, Politecnico di Milano.

He has authored and co-authored several publications on the topics of real estate and construction management.
